12Cr1MoVG is a Cr-Mo-V low alloy heat-resistant steel introduced from the Soviet Union in the 1950s and 1960s. Vanadium is an element that reduces the y-phase region. When dissolved in y-fe, it will inhibit the transformation of ADI to pearlite, which is beneficial to the formation of ADI. The total amount of alloy in 12Cr1MoVG steel is only one half of that of 2.25Cr-1Mo steel, but the endurance strength (580 ° C) is 1.4 times of that of 2.25Cr-1Mo steel. Heat treatment:
980 ℃~1 020 ℃,Normalizing,980 °C ~ 1 020 °C normalizing, when the wall thickness is greater than 30 mm, forced cooling; 720 °C ~ 760 °C tempering.

Application
Limit service temperature: gb5310 12Cr1MoVG alloy steel seamless steel pipe is mainly used for boiler superheater, reheater and other heating surface piping systems with metal wall temperature not exceeding 580 ° C, boiler header and main steam pipe and other pressure parts with metal wall temperature not exceeding 565 ° C.

Surface quality of GB5310 12Cr1MoVG high-pressure boiler tubes
The inner and outer surfaces of steel pipes are not allowed to have cracks, folds, crusting, rolling and separation. These defects shall be completely removed and the depth of defect removal shall not exceed 10% of the wall thickness. The actual outer diameter and wall thickness of the defect removal shall not be less than the minimum allowable for the outer diameter and wall thickness.
 
The allowable depth or height of the straight road on the inner and outer surfaces of the steel pipe shall comply with the following requirements:
a) cold drawn (rolled) steel pipe: not more than 4% of the nominal wall thickness, and the maximum is 0.2 mm;
b) Hot-rolled (extruded, expanded) and forged steel pipes: not more than 5% of the nominal wall thickness and a maximum of 0.4 mm.

Welding process
Welding materials: manual welding, gas tungsten electrode and melting electrode automatic welding or submerged arc automatic welding can be used. Argon arc welding can be used for backing, manual welding or automatic welding of cover surface for small diameter and high thin wall; argon arc welding can be used for backing and submerged arc self welding cover surface for large diameter and high girth weld of boiler header, while inner hole argon arc welding backing hand and manual welding cover surface can be used for welding of pipe seat weld. E551s-b2-v (r317) electrode is used for manual arc welding and h08crmov electrode is used for automatic welding. Although the steel has good weldability, it has the tendency of cold cracking and brittleness and hardness. It should be preheated at 200-25 ℃ before welding (it can not be preheated before welding of small caliber and thin wall). After welding, it should be stress relief heat treatment at 700-740 ℃.
